My Mission
To live a spiritual life wherever I am. I don't mean a religious life, I mean a spiritual life in which I treat others as I would have them treat me.
To live in honesty: as honest with myself as I am with others.
To allow the process of "opening up" in myself in a world that often says "close up tight."
To always try to view the world through the perspectives and world-views of others so that I might gain greater insight regarding all that is around me.
To maintain a peaceful, loving attitude even when it seems impossible.
To live fully, to give much, to travel with open eyes and a heart-that-turns-freely.
"Love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labor to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul…"
Walt Whitman in Leaves of Grass (from Literary Jukebox.)
